Is there a LAN version?

There are a few issues that prevented Nissan from offering a LAN version. One is the cost of the MS-SQL database engine, cost of user seats licenses and the other is the complexity of the set up process. This is not to mention that it may require additional time to develop an installation kit If the LAN (with MS-SQL) was already in place at the dealership, and the funds was available to create the kit, the dealer would still need to have an IS person to setup the files and provide support.

ASIST System Checker Fails - CONSULT II Support requires two Ethernet Cards

The main purpose for 2nd NIC cards (Ethernet cards)is to support your CONSULT-II and the other is to support your Internect connection. Using a router/hub is preferred rather than a 2nd NIC card. Sharing a NIC with CONSULT-II and your Internet access port is not recommended. An alternative is to have a 2nd NIC. We have tested a few USB NIC ports which work. If CONSULT-II support is not required on this workstation, then this requirement may be ignored.
